1FF builds the platform and verifies the innovations on it. GCSI is the peer forum where governments meet to discuss what is working — incubated by 1FF and operating independently.
One Family Foundation
A Netherlands-registered foundation that funds, incubates, and verifies social innovation. We operate the Social Innovation Engine, run incubation programmes, and support partners that work at the implementation edge of social policy.

Government Council for Social Innovation
A peer forum for senior government officials to discuss social innovation policy with their international peers. Three convenings per year, working papers shared across membership, no press, no observers without member approval. Incubated by 1FF in 2022.

Most of the world's pressing social challenges already have proven solutions somewhere. The gap between knowing what works and putting it into practice is where evidence gets lost, contexts mismatch, and good ideas die before reaching the people who could act on them.
1FF was set up to close that gap. We fund the verification work that makes social innovations citable. We incubate programmes that complement the platform — like GCSI, the peer council that connects governments directly. And we keep the platform free to use, with no lead capture and no paywalls, because credibility cannot live behind a login.
